Swift complies with all the requirements of The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and all other relevant legislation. We train all our employees and have asbestos awareness certification, scaffold inspection, as well as CITB Health and Safety Awareness and First Aid qualifications.
We pride ourselves on protecting our employees and any person likely to be affected by our work operations. As a result of maintaining these high standards of health and safety performance, we are pleased that we are accredited by The Federation of Master Builders and TrustMark. These accreditations are assessed which demonstrates our commitment to safety.
We conduct risk assessments on all our works, which minimises the risk of injury or dangerous occurrence on our sites. All our staff are issued with the appropriate personal protective equipment as identified in the risk assessment.
We are also fully compliant with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM) and every job we do has a Construction Phase Plan developed especially for it.
We have often been complemented with regards to how tidy our sites are and we ensure that all our waste materials are disposed of ethically. We also have a Waste Transfer Licence.
David Smith, Managing Director, is responsible for health and safety within Swift Building Contractors and our Health and Safety Policy is regularly updated and fully reviewed annually.
